President and General Manager
- C. Gordon Thornhill, Jr.
has
25 years of experience in procurement, assembly, health preparation,transporting, documentation, and exportation.
|

Mr. Thornhill has
a B.S. degree in Animal Science from Virginia Tech (VPI).
He has developed
livestock markets
throughout the world and has managed shipments to more than 45 countries.
Mr. Thornhill is also a past president of the U.S. Livestock Exporter's
Association (LEA) and has received their award of Merit for his service
to the U.S. livestock export industry. Mr. Thornhill has participated
in many national and international forums to promote the export of
livestock genetics and was honored as Exporter of the Year by the Virginia
Agri-Business Council.

Dr. Larry Samples
Dr.
Samples
is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary
Medicine. He serves on many committees including the Ruminant
Protocol Committee for the Livestock Exporters Association.
As the chairman of this committee, he is responsible to advise
the USDA-APHIS on health protocols for the export of live animals.
Dr. Samples has been responsible for conducting the health
exams for some 50,000 animals exported from Pennsylvania in
the last 30 years. He has traveled to several countries helping
importers to develop health management systems for imported
USA cattle. Dr. Samples knows the importance of selecting health
animals and then preparing them for exportation. E-mail
Dr. Steve English
Dr. English is a veterinarian from Sedan, Kansas.
He graduated from Kansas State University with a Doctorate in Veterinary
Medicine in 1981. He practiced at the Animal Care Center in Fort
Scott, Kansas and Barts Animal Hospital in Independence, Kansas for
5 years before returning to his ranch in Sedan, Kansas. The
English Ranch is a beef cattle cow/calf operation that is over 1000
hectares
in size and produces about 400 calves annually for feedlots. Dr.
English provides technical assistance to us by managing the health
of our animals in transit to customers. He has accompanied shipments
to Lebanon (8 trips), Egypt (2 trips), Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Philippines,
and Iraq. Dr. English has been the management consultant for our
project in Lebanon for the past 5 years spending about 50 days annually
there.
His experience internationally, is unsurpassed and he has served
as a consultant for the U.S. Livestock Genetics Exports, Inc., USAID
and USDA-FAS (U.S. Department of Agriculture Foreign Agriculture
Service) where he promotes the health and well being of U.S. animals.
Dr.
Karl Magura
Dr. Magura is a veterinarian from Rixeyville,
Virginia. He graduated from Virginia Tech (VPI) with a Doctorate
in Veterinary Medicine and has served the northern Virginia area
in
his Dairy cattle
practice. Dr Magura has been a part of our international efforts
for over 20 years by providing the health testing and documentation
at our farm (Thorn-Ridge Farm, Inc.) for our international shipments.
He has traveled in Europe and the Middle East providing technical
assistance in livestock health management. He has conducted training
programs at the American University-Beirut’s farm in Lebanon
and also has conducted training exercises for veterinarians here
in the U.S as a part of our exchange program. His international experience
gives T.K. Exports, Inc. the ability to transfer technology to our
clients that will insure the best use of our breeding stock. Email
